Control your music with a wave of your hand
VisionTune AI uses Apple Vision to recognize your hand pose on device in real time: an open palm plays, a fist pauses, thumbs swipe between tracks, and a pointed finger or pinch sets the volume. Your camera feed is never shown — instead you see a 3D honeycomb grid that lights up around your hand and can even be punched into with a fist.

Six air gestures
Hold a gesture steady; cooldowns help reduce accidental repeats. Lighting, distance and hand angle affect recognition. Disable individual gestures or use the safe practice guide in Settings.
Open palm · Play
Spread all five fingers to start playback.
Fist · Pause
Curl your fingers to pause. Punch toward the camera and punch a springy hole through the honeycomb grid.
Thumb right · Next
Extend your thumb clearly to the right past the edge of your hand to distinguish it from the pause gesture.
Thumb left · Previous
Mirror the gesture to the left to go back a track.
Point up · Volume up
Pro feature: extend only your index finger to raise volume by 5%.
Pinch · Volume down
Pro feature: pinch thumb and index finger together to lower volume by 5%; pinch and drag to seek.
It shows gestures, not your camera
- There is no live camera picture. While gestures are enabled and the app is in the foreground, the front camera feeds Apple Vision on device to detect 21 landmarks of one hand. Frames are never displayed, recorded, or uploaded. Turn gestures off and continue using the on-screen playback buttons.
- The landmarks drive a synthetic 3D honeycomb grid and dimensional hand animation with haptics, not real imagery or face recognition.
- Hand recognition and local playback need neither Apple Intelligence nor a network connection. Purchases, restore, selecting cloud-hosted files and opening the website or email may use the network; see the Privacy Policy.
Two player skins
The classic player is free. Pro adds a skeuomorphic vinyl turntable, volume gestures and pinch-to-seek. Monthly and yearly subscriptions and a lifetime purchase are available; the in-app purchase page and Apple confirmation show actual prices, periods and trial eligibility.

Pro vinyl turntable
The record spins while playing and coasts to a stop when paused; the stylus tracks with progress and lifts when paused. Local artwork rotates with the record when available.
Your own files
Import MP3, M4A and WAV from the Files app or iCloud into the local sandbox. The list restores on launch — no accounts.
Full-screen playback, local lyrics, the sleep timer and artwork-colored ambient lighting have no additional charge. Lyrics and artwork come from embedded audio metadata or files you import, not online song or lyrics searches or song recognition.
Release status
VisionTune AI is in TestFlight testing and is not yet on the App Store.
