📖 DayFlow AI User Manual
This manual covers events, todos, running, ledger, the AI Assistant, backups and sync in the international DayFlow AI edition. DayFlow AI is local-first and does not require an account. Network requests occur only when you actively use a third-party model, enable your own cloud sync, use system map services or complete an App Store transaction.
1. First launch
- Install DayFlow AI from the Apple App Store or Google Play, then review and accept the Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Open Profile → Personal profile to set a nickname, avatar and goals. These stay on the device by default.
- Grant only the permissions you need: location, notifications, Photos, Camera and Calendar. Refusing one permission does not disable unrelated modules.
- Open Profile → AI Assistant to choose Apple on-device models or a custom model. Open Profile → Cloud sync to configure iCloud (iOS/macOS) or an authorized cloud-drive folder (Android/Windows).
2. Core modules
2.1 Events
Tap “+” on Home or Events to create an event. Add a title, date, time, repeat rule and reminder. Switch between list, calendar and week views. With Calendar permission, you may export events to the system calendar.
2.2 Todos
Create a todo, optionally set a category, due date and reminder, then tap its circle to complete it. Long-press to edit or delete. Deleting here affects only DayFlow AI data.
2.3 Running
Grant location permission and keep location services enabled before starting. DayFlow AI records route, time, distance, pace and elevation locally. Background location is required to continue after locking the screen. These metrics are estimates, not medical or competition measurements.
2.4 Ledger
Add an income or expense with amount, category, date and note. Budgets and monthly statistics are calculated on-device. Check the currency and decimal unit before relying on totals.
2.5 Profile and data
Profile centralizes personal settings, goals, theme, language, AI, sync and data management. Use Profile → Data → Export JSON for a complete backup. Export before importing; an invalid or old file may replace local records.
3. AI Assistant
- Open Profile → AI Assistant and choose Apple on-device models or Custom.
- Apple on-device models require a supported Apple device, OS version and Apple Intelligence setting. Processing stays on the device; DayFlow AI does not send your prompt to an external model provider.
- Custom models require an endpoint, model ID and API key. Choose OpenAI-compatible (
/v1/chat/completions) or Anthropic Messages (/v1/messages). Requests go directly from the device to the endpoint you entered. - When “Use my data” is on, only the recent schedule, todo, ledger and running summary needed for the request is attached. When off, only your typed message is sent. Any create, edit or delete action is previewed and requires your confirmation.
- Your API key is stored locally. Provider logging, training and token charges are governed by that provider. Clear the key or switch off AI to stop future requests.
4. Sync and backups
On iOS/macOS, your iCloud container iCloud.cn.dayflow stores incremental JSONL operation logs. On Android/Windows, sync uses a cloud-drive folder you authorize. DayFlow AI does not operate a sync server. Export a JSON backup before uninstalling, changing devices or switching Apple IDs. Disabling sync does not automatically delete existing cloud files.
5. Subscriptions and restore
The international edition offers monthly and yearly Apple App Store subscriptions (eligible users may receive a one-month introductory trial) and a lifetime purchase. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds and restore purchases; manage subscriptions from Apple ID settings. If a trial is not cancelled before it ends, Apple follows the terms shown on the purchase sheet.
6. Frequently asked questions
Why is the AI button unavailable?
Check that your trial or subscription is active and that the selected AI mode is configured. Apple on-device models may still be downloading; custom models require a reachable endpoint, matching protocol, model ID and key.
Why did a reply use the wrong language?
Output language follows the current app language, but a third-party model may not follow every instruction. Switch language and start a new request; existing replies are not translated automatically.
Does uninstalling delete my data?
Uninstalling removes the local database. Existing iCloud or cloud-drive logs may remain. Export JSON from Profile → Data before uninstalling.
How do I report a problem?
Email your device, OS, app version, reproduction steps and screenshots to dayflow.cn@outlook.com. Never include an API key in a report.
